Happy holidays and new year’s greetings to all!

As we approach 2023, we look forward to another year of joyous celebration of Palestinian culture and important work to sustain initiatives to benefit the Palestinian people through arts, habitat, education and health.

Deepest thanks to each and every person who has been part of the Palestine Foundation’s work throughout 2022. All of you have given so generously, financially and with your love and labor.

As you make your end of the year contributions, we ask you to consider a tax-deductible gift to the Palestine Foundation. Invest in the self reliance and resilience of our community who continue to live under the oppression of military occupation.

Below are just a few highlights of our 2022 activities:

In September and October, Dalal Abu Amneh and her team brought her incredible project Mishwar Sitti, My Grandmother’s Journey, to Palestinians in the United States in a series of four benefit concerts for the Palestine Foundation. These concerts in Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Jersey were full of enthusiasm, beauty and dedication.

In March, the annual Walk for Water in Palestine was a great success, with all proceeds going to support Beit Hanoun School for Girls in Gaza! It was a beautiful day and people were welcomed with the usual Palestine Foundation hospitality, Arabic coffee and some sweets.

Throughout the year, the Mawtini Choir has continued to grow and thrive! The Palestine Foundation, in collaboration with SAWA, founded the children’s choir project that has been prospering steadily. The project, directed by Sami Asmar, teaches children between the ages of 5 and 17 years traditional and folk songs and the associated Arabic language translation, pronunciation, and history.

Through the Mawtini Tatreez project, the Palestine Foundation is now able to provide employment for 16 women in Gaza, producing traditional Palestinian embroidery and handicrafts. This recently created initiative is nurturing Palestinian culture and heritage through generations while providing much-needed economic support to people living under siege.

These are only some of the activities throughout the year that have included Mawtini Bazaar Home Parties, maamoul baking events for families, grants to support important cultural, arts, health and education programs in Palestine, and much more!

We expect to build bigger and better in the coming year, and we look forward to working with you for a joyous 2023!

Thank you and our greetings for the new year,

The Palestine Foundation
