Meet our MC, Rolla Selbak!

Rolla Selbak is an award-winning filmmaker and a Sundance alum, with multiple original works optioned for development at 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Selbak imprints her fresh point of view as a Palestinian American, and often focuses on socially topical issues that unite audiences.

Other notable works include co-producing the short film AMERICAN PARADISE, which was later adapted into the Sundance-winning film LAST BLACK MAN IN SAN FRANCISCO, and helming the acclaimed feature film “Three Veils”, a first of its kind to confront homosexuality within the Muslim-American subculture.

Tickets are now available for the June 1, 2025 fifth annual Palestine Foundation benefit concert by renowned Palestinian artist Dalal Abu Amneh in Long Beach.

World renowned Palestinian singer Dalal Abu Amneh will be the featured artist in a grand concert in Southern California. Known for her classical and folkloric songs, she has popularized a theme called Ya Sitti (My Grandmother) featuring grandmothers accompanying her in sold-out concerts. This theme has evolved into featuring a children’s choir in a symbolic look towards the future and passing the cultural torch.

We pass on the traditional arts to our children and teach Arab-American young artists what was passed from grandmothers to mothers. Our Seeds of Hope are members of Mawtini Choir, a local program that has for over five years served our community.

Our upcoming benefit concert will have a selection of beautiful ceramics all the way from Hebron in addition to mother of pearl items from Bethlehem, and of course our beautiful hand embroideries made by Tatreez Mawtini in Gaza. We have a new large shipment that are available exclusively in-person at Palestine Foundation events. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase these beautiful, handmade Palestinian crafts.
