Al Wallajah village
Significant information/indicators related to the project success:
As the Environmental Education Program in Al Walajah village ends, we would like to
acknowledge that its success would have been impossible without the support of 1for3.org and
the Palestine Foundation. We would like to thank them for their ongoing partnership, especially
through the many challenges we as Palestinians have faced. Particularly during the period of June till
now, the geo-political situation in Al Walajah has increasingly worsened. Many houses and farms in Al
Walajah have been demolished, even those of some of our beneficiaries. Despite this, we have continued with
our project and have successfully accomplished all our objectives, thanks to your generous support and the
continued active collaboration with the communities in AlWalajah.
Regarding our role in the Al-Walajah Village, we are very proud of what we have accomplished
there thus far. However, we observe that the continuation of this project in Al Walajah is vital as
the communities have greatly benefitted from the project but need continued support in
recycling, water testing, crop cultivation and improving more activities in the future.

(Interim Report #1)
Information on shortcomings, delays or changes in project actions
During the past four months, we have completed most of the scheduled activities successfully.
We had some changes in the schedule and we managed to finalize most of the activities as
planned. We postponed two activities to the next month. Because of the bad weather, we didn’t
paint the wall in the entrance of the village, and the lecture by the specialist about chemical
pesticides didn’t happen because the speaker had to cancel and postpone. We went for a trip with
the students of the environment unit in Aida camp and Alwallajah village to Alwallajah instead
of going to Nablus because of the political situation but will go next month. However, we did
extra activities in the village with the help of international volunteers as planting olive trees, and
also distributing flowers by the students of the unit to the local residents. We are committed to
implementing the three missing activities from the last months and will do the activities as presented in the action plan.

Significant information/indicators related to the project success
We began this report by thanking 1for3.org and the Palestine Foundation for their ongoing support
of partnership, especially during such difficult time. With what the Palestinians are going thorough
these days, commemorating the 70th year of the Nakba, moving the U.S Embassy to Jerusalem, and
the ongoing attacks by the occupation on almost every aspect of our lives, the type of work we do is
very much needed. It is not about a project to fund or an activity to hold, our work is about
empowering communities and protecting our dignity. Every think we have done together for all
these years is still there, developing and making real change on people’s lives. This is due to your
support and to our strategy that to involve the communities in the process and have them own it
and be proud of it.
Regarding our role in the Al-Walaja Village, we are very proud of our accomplishments. One of the
most important activities of the Environment Unit during the last four months was the recycling
workshops. These were very successful workshops and a great chance to show the residents of the
community the work done by the Unit, as well as the ongoing water testing and agricultural
activities. [Photo #1-4: Recycling of non organic materials, and agricultural activities in the village.
